The Anglican Church of the Redeemer is a family of Christian believers who worship together in Norwood, Massachusetts. We practice the Christian faith within the Anglican tradition that traces its roots to The Church of England. Our focus is living the Christian life, worshipping together as a church, reading and studying the Bible, and reaching out to those in need.
We are a parish in the Anglican Diocese in New England under the leadership of Bishop Andrew Williams. We are part of a global, united, biblical missionary movement of Anglicans in fellowship with global Anglicanism. Through our diocese, we are a part of the Anglican Church in North America, an orthodox Anglican Province in North America, under the leadership of Archbishop Foley Beach, in fellowship with other member churches of the Anglican Communion throughout the world.
As Anglican Christians we do not embrace a distinct version of Christianity; our faith is evangelical, apostolic, catholic, reformed and spirit-filled. We acknowledge Holy Scripture to be the inspired Word of God, which contains all things necessary for salvation and the final authority and unchangeable standard for Christian faith and life. We are part of the historic faith of the undivided church as declared in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion which were formulated during the English Reformation help to clarify certain fundamental principles of Anglican belief.
